Till Earth and Heaven Ring was created as part of Sonya Clark's exhibition Self-Evident for the African American Museum in Philadelphia. The sculpture is a small replica of the liberty bell with a clapper made of Clark's hair. The sculpture is exhibited in conjunction with other works that are noiseless, but address voice and sound, speaking to stories and histories that have been silenced, yet continue to resonate through collective consciousness.
