HOORAY

Hooray is a functional public sculpture by Hou de Sousa that features dynamically intersecting panels referencing Washington's original city planning by Pierre L'Enfant. The sculpture is one of three in a triptych commissioned by WMATA as a part of their comprehensive headquarters renovation. All together the three artworks celebrate Washington's history of innovative urban planning and transit infrastructure, and pay tribute to architect Harry Weese's original iconic metro station design.
