Hou de Sousa
Sculpture trio element.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's Headquarters
Washington, DC, USA
Aura is a suspended ceiling installation by Hou de Sousa featuring a dazzling array of color, light, and line. The sculpture is one of three in a triptych commissioned by WMATA as a part of their comprehensive headquarters renovation. All together the three artworks celebrate Washington's history of innovative urban planning and transit infrastructure, and pay tribute to architect Harry Weese's original iconic metro station design.
